The fourth Port-au-Prince Book Fair will be held on December 11 at the Hôtel Montana under the theme “Reaching out to others,” Le National reported on November 4. It is organized by the Association du Salon du Livre de Port-au-Prince (ASALPAP).
Since September, the association has been running activities in schools, universities and the street to bring young people closer to books, reading and creative writing, with the aim of making literature a place of meeting and openness.
On October 8, about 120 secondary school students at the École Sœur Étienne attended a talk on Jacques Roumain's classic novel “Gouverneurs de la rosée” given by John Wisky Louirard, known as Cobra's, followed by two writing workshops.
