Violette AC beat Jamaica's Portmore United 2-1 in the second leg of their Concacaf Caribbean Cup semifinal on Wednesday, October 28, at Sabina Park in Kingston, but the Haitian club was knocked out 4-3 on aggregate after losing the first leg 3-1.

Tedj Bryan put Portmore ahead in the 21st minute. Maxime Jeanty equalized in the 73rd minute and Roberto Jean gave Violette the lead in the 87th, but the “Old Tiger” could not find the extra goal it needed, Concacaf reported.

The match was moved to Jamaica after the Dominican Republic barred the Haitian club from the Estadio Cibao. Before the game, Sports Minister Pythagore Dumas urged Haitians to rally behind the country's only club in the competition and said the state is working so that Haitian teams can one day host their matches at home.

Portmore United will face Mount Pleasant in an all-Jamaican final in December and has qualified for the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup.
