Planning and External Cooperation Minister Sandra Paulemon met on Wednesday, October 28, with Xavier Michon, the UN Development Programme's resident representative in Haiti, to launch the 2026-2027 fiscal year, Le Nouvelliste reported, citing a ministry statement.

They discussed annual project planning, aligning UNDP's work with government priorities, the electoral process, and mobilizing the resources needed to carry out the National Program for Stabilization and Economic, Social and Territorial Recovery (PNSREST) 2026-2030.

Two days earlier, on Monday, October 26, Paulemon reorganized responsibilities within her cabinet for the new fiscal year, Juno7 reported. Frantz Bastien, previously director of public investment, becomes deputy chief of cabinet for planning and public investment, and Paul Moïse Gabriel becomes adviser on external cooperation.

According to the ministry, the changes are meant to improve coordination and strengthen monitoring so the ministry can deliver measurable results.
