Container traffic through Haiti's ports is picking up after several years of decline, the director general of the National Port Authority (APN), Jean Evens Charles, told Le Nouvelliste on Monday, October 26.
He cautioned that the recovery has not brought traffic back to its record level. According to APN statistics, national container traffic has moved unevenly in recent years after peaking at 137,350 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) in 2021.
