Haiti's Education Ministry has congratulated Nahum Lafleur, rector of the Public University of the Centre (UPD-Centre), on his election as president of the Conference of Caribbean University Rectors and Presidents (C2R-Caraïbe), Vant Bèf Info reported.

Lafleur was elected on September 16. The C2R-Caraïbe brings together the heads of universities across the Caribbean region.

In a note published on October 29, the ministry described the election as “recognition of his academic career and his commitment to higher education” and wished him every success in his new responsibilities.
