Haiti's Minister of Youth and Sports, Pythagore Dumas, attended a dinner on Monday, November 2, organized by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) to honor the men's under-15 team, back from FIFA's U-15 World Cup and Festival held October 24 to 30 in Baku, Azerbaijan, iciHaiti reported.

Of the 189 participating nations, Haiti finished 61st, the best of the Caribbean teams and fourth in CONCACAF. The young Grenadiers scored 25 goals in 10 matches and conceded 13.

Speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and the government, Dumas congratulated the players, their parents, the technical and medical staff and the FHF's normalization committee. He announced that his ministry would give the federation a check for 7 million gourdes this week for the under-14 team, which won the CFU Challenge Series 2026.

The under-14 champions are due in France from November 19 to 29 at the invitation of Ligue 1 club RC Lens. Dumas said supporting these young players is an investment in the future of Haitian sport, since they are expected to move up to the U-17, U-20 and senior national teams.
