Economist Juste-Cœur Beaubrun will represent Haiti's youth at the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3 to 6, Le National reported.
He is the first Haitian selected for the summit's systemic change track. Organizers expect about 7,000 young people from more than 190 countries at the gathering, billed as the world's largest youth leadership summit.
Beaubrun said he wants to carry the voice of Haitian youth, share the country's realities and learn from other leaders so he can contribute to Haiti's sustainable development.
