The Mansbach Family Foundation has launched an international prize for children's picture books written in Haitian Kreyòl, Le National reported on October 30. The award was announced on International Kreyòl Language Day.

Called “Pri Mansbach Family Liv Kreyòl Ayisyen pou Timoun” (the Mansbach Haitian Kreyòl Children Picture Book Award), it aims to encourage high-quality Kreyòl books and illustrations for children under six, and to honor authors and illustrators who make books for Haitian children wherever they live.
