The Port-au-Prince Court of Appeal has upheld the decision to send Marc Antoine Acra, Sébastien François Xavier Acra and Fedner Doliscar, known as “Surpris,” to trial in criminal court in a drug trafficking case, Le Nouvelliste reported on October 29.
In a ruling dated October 26, the court confirmed that Marc Antoine Acra and Sébastien Acra will be tried for illicit drug trafficking and Doliscar for complicity. The case will be heard by the criminal court sitting without a jury.
The court also ordered their arrest and detention, a measure known as “prise de corps,” if they are not already in custody.
The available part of the article did not give a trial date or any response from the defendants. All three are presumed innocent unless a court finds them guilty.
