Haiti's annual inflation slowed to 16.4% in September 2026, down from 17% in August, according to the latest figures from the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI) reported by Le Nouvelliste on Monday, October 26.
Month-on-month, prices rose 1.3% in September after a 1.6% increase in August. The consumer price index reached 647.6, up from 639.0 a month earlier (base 100 in 2017-2018).
The slowdown is mainly a base effect from last year's high inflation levels, according to the newspaper.
