The Haitian Chamber of Commerce of Canada (CCHC) launched “Apothéose,” a new series of business meetings, in Montreal on October 23, iciHaiti reported. The series aims to build connections, strategic partnerships and business opportunities within the Haitian-Canadian business community.

The guests of honor at the first edition were Philippe Bayard, president and founder of Sunrise Airways, with Jonathan Bayard, the airline's sales director, and Jean-Sébastien Bayard, its deputy general manager.

The chamber presented the Haitian airline as proof that businesses from the community can thrive and become leaders in their field. The meeting also stressed stronger ties among entrepreneurs, professionals and partners.

The event came as Sunrise Airways officially launched a route between Canada and Haiti. Tickets are not yet on sale while the airline finalizes ground logistics, fares and flight frequency, HaitiLibre reported.
