Haitian National Police chief Vladimir Paraison met on Wednesday, October 28, with Superintendent Jean-François Campeau, the new head of the Canadian police contingent in Haiti, Le Nouvelliste reported.

Campeau's predecessor, Pascal Courtemanche, and members of the police high command also took part. The talks focused on strengthening the force's operational capacity and expanding the technical training Canada provides, including in new technologies applied to public security.

The report did not give details on new programs, their cost or the size of the Canadian contingent.
