Haiti's National Education Fund (FNE) handed out grant checks on Saturday, October 24, to children with disabilities to help their families cover back-to-school costs for the 2026-2027 school year, HaitiLibre reported.

The fund said education is a right for every child, without exception, and that a disability should never stop a child from learning, growing, dreaming and preparing for the future.

HaitiLibre did not say how many children received grants or how much money was distributed.
