The U.S. Coast Guard rescued 66 migrants, including seven Haitians, from a dangerously overloaded boat off Puerto Rico, HaitiLibre reported on Saturday, October 24. Sixty-three of them have already been sent back to their countries.

U.S. authorities repeated that illegal sea crossings are dangerous and that migrants stopped at sea or caught on land will not be allowed to stay in the United States or in any U.S. territory.

HaitiLibre did not say when the rescue took place or whether the seven Haitians were among those already returned.
