Haiti's Ministry of Culture and Communication has listed ten projects for the first quarter of the 2026-2027 fiscal year, iciHaiti reported on Thursday, October 22.
They include studies and the start of work on the first phase of a perimeter wall at the Bwa Kayiman site, the publication of a commemorative book, “Le rêve inachevé” (“The Unfinished Dream”), in tribute to the Grenadiers, and a symposium on the carnival industry meant to lead to a Carnival Museum and an institute for carnival trades.
The ministry also plans to issue a professional press card, open the first House of Arts and the Press, install the juries for the five national awards, open the first Haitian House of Culture abroad and hold a seminar for journalists on covering an election campaign.
It will also launch a new website and take an inventory of cultural associations, businesses, institutions and venues, along with a census of arts and culture professionals.
