Haiti came from behind to beat Trinidad and Tobago 3-2 on Thursday night at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica, scoring twice in stoppage time to give Spanish coach David Badía a win in his first match in charge.

Fafà Picault put the Grenadiers ahead in the 23rd minute. Trinidad and Tobago answered through Wayne Frederick in the 31st minute and Levi García in the 59th to lead 2-1.

The comeback came deep in added time. Garven Metusala equalized in the first minute of stoppage time, and Wilson Isidor scored the winner in the eighth. Late substitutions by Badía helped fuel the rally, the Haitian Times reported.

Haiti kept 69 percent of possession and completed 92 percent of its passes. “First match, first win,” the Haitian Football Federation said after the final whistle, crediting the team's experience and perseverance.

The victory opened Haiti's 2026-27 Concacaf Nations League campaign in League A, Group A, alongside Costa Rica, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Nicaragua.
