IMF staff and Senegal reached a staff-level agreement on a 36-month Extended Credit Facility arrangement of about $2.2 billion to support the country's 2026–29 reform program.

Final approval depends on the IMF Executive Board, corrective measures tied to earlier misreporting of debt data, and financing assurances from Senegal's partners. The Fund suspended a previous $1.8 billion program in 2024.
