Maylon Foshee, a 23-year-old American missionary from Mansfield, Louisiana, is due back in federal court on October 12 on a charge of illicit sexual conduct with minors in Haiti.
According to an FBI affidavit, Foshee sexually abused minors who lived with him or received educational and financial support from him while he worked with a ministry in Gonaïves. Investigators identified three victims, all boys who were 14 at the time, and say the abuse took place between February and December 2025.
Foshee had built a large social media following with videos of his missionary work in Haiti and his fluency in Kreyòl.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Louisiana announced the charge on September 30, eight days after prosecutors obtained a federal criminal complaint on September 22. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood. If convicted, Foshee faces up to 30 years in federal prison.
A criminal charge is an accusation; Foshee is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
